Postpartum and NICU Doula Support Designed for You
As your doula, my role is to support you with your physical and emotional health as you recover from childbirth and encourage you as you build confidence in your unique parenting journey. Whether that is helping with infant care, breastfeeding or bottle feeding support, light household work, or simply making sure you can shower and rest peacefully for a couple of hours, I am here to nurture you while you nurture your baby.
Overnight care provides your family with hands-on support to help establish safe sleep, daily routines, and a calm presence in your home. And when questions come up, I offer virtual daytime support to give you answers and guide you towards the resources that you need.
You deserve support that helps you feel more rested, capable, and connected during this tender transition. A Mama’s Heart postpartum care extends beyond your precious new baby; I am here to nurture you as a new parent and support your whole family every step of the way. You’re not meant to do this alone—and with me as your postpartum doula, you won’t have to!
If you’re wondering…
What kind of support do I really need & who can I count on?
What self care and/or baby items do I really need?
What does a postpartum doula do differently than my husband/partner, mom, or sister?
How am I going to get any sleep with a newborn?
How long does it really take for my body to heal and how can I help it along?
What's my plan for feeding my baby? Breastfeeding, bottle, or both? Should I pump?
What if I don't feel bonded to my baby right away, will I just "know" how to care for my baby?
How do I prepare when labeled as a high-risk pregnancy?
What if my baby is medically diagnosed and is swept away to the NICU after birth?
My baby is in the NICU and we feel overwhelmed, isolated, and confused. Who supports me while medical teams care for our newborn?
What if things don't feel happy, is it okay to say “I'm not okay?”
My family lives far away. Who can I rely on for assistance?
AND the list goes on…
I’ve got you! You don’t need to navigate this alone.
This is what I believe in my practice…
The first 40-90 days (the 4th Trimester) should not be an afterthought. It is an historically held space for spiritual, physical, and emotional care and healing of mother and newborn. A time of genuine rest and renewal, bonding with a precious and vulnerable new life, and honoring the mother as she grows into her new role by focusing on her nutrition, hydration, and being cared for by others.
This often means taking a break from work and household chores and letting her husband/partner and community celebrate and nurture her over a period of time. While this may not always feel doable (which, I totally understand), some form of this is extremely valuable for the physical and mental health of mother, newborn, and family.
Temporary support leads to creating lifelong wellness, confidence, and connection! That’s why doulas exist and why I absolutely love what I do!
My job is to be present and support you while you gain strength, rest, and recover from carrying and giving birth to your brand new precious human as you grow confidently in motherhood.
I bring calm in the chaos of newborn care, routines, feeding, sleeping. I listen without judgement, share tips and tricks, and physically and emotionally support and care for you and baby as you rest and bond as a family.
Sometimes you realize you need assistance after a week or month at home—and that's okay, too!
**I also support foster and adoption families, as well as grandparents or other relatives as legal guardians**

Every journey is unique.
I’d love to learn yours to see how I can walk alongside you.
